Today I was tackling a problem how to do rotating ads on my site. I try a lot of codes, script and plugins, but only one was so good, that I decide to use it. This Wordpress plugin from Datafeedr with well-taken name Random Ads plugin is a free plugin which allows you to simply and easily show random ads anywhere in your template files or using widgets…

Installation Instructions

  1. Unpack the zip file you downloaded.
  2. Upload the /wp-content/ads/ directory to your /wp-content/ directory
  3. Upload the /wp-content/plugins/datafeedr-ads.php file to your /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
  4. Activate the plugin
  5. Create .txt files containing your ads separated by pipe “|” symbols (some examples are in ads directory in zip file. If you unpack zip file, you will find it).
  6. Add the function calls to your template files to show the ads:

Here is how we would call the .txt file named “ads_468×60.txt” from within a template file.

<?php if (function_exists(’dfrad’)) { echo dfrad(’under_first_post’); } ?>

In this code take care about this apostrophes ‘, because it could make you some trouble. If it isn´t function, the problem is 99,9 per cent here (Of course if you good instal plugin ).

This plugin requires Wordpress 2.5+

With this plugin you can display classic PPC ads (Google Adsense), banners (any kinds of affiliates networks) or your own ads created by you.

This plugin is really very good if you need to rotate ads in Wordpress.
